Bush Cutting

Bush cutting is taken up in the month of February- March. It is an operation where tending of Kendu leaf bushes are taken up manually by labourers; this is also called coppicing. It generates 9.9 lakh person days per annum involving Rs 22.85 crores

After 45-50 days of bush cutting, collection of kendu leaves start. The pluckers make 20 leaves into a bundle called “Kerry”.
